I went in for surgery! Adenoidectomy, septoplasty, turbinate reduction. Basically stuff to let me finally breathe through my nose for once, which might let me finally sleep well for once. Anyway, the surgery went really well. Didn’t get nauseous from the anesthesia like some people do, nor did I experience much pain at all. In fact, right now, I don’t feel any pain whatsoever. There is a splint in my nose, which still bleeds a little, but I have a gauze pad over that, and the last time I changed it, it’s slowing down quite a lot. I go back tomorrow to get the splint out. Hooray!
Also I’ve gotten three out of four grades back by now, and I’ve got two ABs and an A. The one class I haven’t gotten my grade back yet is my Prose Style class. And not only am I confident about that class, but the professor even wants me to do some extra stuff for pay this summer and says he hopes to let me do some guest lectures in the fall. So it’s been a surprisingly kickass day!
